An emotional ride

Oh my gosh I thought I was going to go crazy while reading this. The cliffhanger that was left at the end of the first book left me reeling. This book went back to the months in between and nothing was resolved till the end. But the waiting was worth it, I was sitting on the edge of my seat. Great read!
We are inside Jake's head for this book, looking through his eyes. I really didn't like him and Kaye in the first book, I felt they were both extremely selfish. There actions were Rob's snapping point and he was nuts in this book. Everyone has a breaking point, I thought Rob was a great guy and didn't deserve any of this, his true colors came through in this book. I am just not sure if this is the kind of guy he is or if there affair just made him insane. Either way he is a total sociopath!
There is all kinds of drama with Jake, Kaye and Rob. This is the rest of their story, they truly do love each other and that shows through in every scene with them together. Clare is great in this one, she is a truly strong woman. I can't wait to see her story and see her have a happy ending. I think there is something more to her and Rob, so I am curious to know what.
This is an emotional read for me as I do not agree with cheating spouses. Jake should have manned up years ago with his feelings for Kaye, he destroyed many lives to get what he wanted. They both did. But it was still a good read.

Another emotional ride with this second installment of the series and if haven't read book one, I suggest that you do, so you can fully understand the story.
It starts off right where we left these couples and I must say I liked this one even better because now we were able to see how the actions of two people changed the lives of so many. It made everything more poignant for me because this love wasn't just a flying fancy, it was a secret harbored so many years that couldn't be held inside anymore.
You know what you learn from reading this book? “Never judge someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes”.
Yes, they cheated, yes their actions inflicted pain unto others and innocent people were affected but what about them? Should they have suffered in silence and accepted a dull and passionless life? Only going through the motions, existing not living?
Now that the affair is revealed it’s a whole different ball game and new elements are thrown into the mix, danger, resentment, anger, and unforgiving stances.
The road that these two lovers are on is paved with ups and downs, good and bad, pain and joy along with twists and turn. It is not an easy path but one that Jake and Kaye are committed too. It will leave you on the edge of your seat and quickly turning the pages to see what happens next.
Lives are shattered and rebuild, new and unexpected joys are experienced and heart breaking and dangerous moments are lived, making this a book you will laugh, cry, cheer and rejoice with.
C M Hutton did a brilliant job bringing to life this difficult subject matter and making it tasteful and meaningful as can be.
I recommend this book for anyone looking to get a glimpse into a two couple that will leave them thinking about this couple for a long time to come.

A MUST READ

I have been anxiously awaiting the release of this book from the moment I finished Paradise Taken!! It was well worth the wait. Saving Us picks up from where Paradise Taken ends from Jakes point of view!! It is a BEAUTIFUL love story filled with tons of emotion.
CM Hutton did an amazing job with details that draw you close to the characters. I was angry at times, I laughed and cried... and... Just when i thought I had the book figured out... I was shocked and surprise with a new twist and turn!!!
I HIGHLY recommend this book.. and I plan on buying a few sets of both books to give as gifts!!
