What BarCharts are NOT: a comprehensive study guide. You cannot do well on a law school exam or bar exam relying solely upon BarCharts. That is not their purpose.

What BarCharts ARE: a condensed overview of the black letter law. Use them as a quick reference to understand the material during the semester. Use them as a REVIEW of the material you (should) have already studied for the exam.

In law school, BarCharts were the last thing I skimmed over before taking an exam. It's a good refresher.

Same with the bar exam. I skimmed over my BarCharts both nights before the exam.

There are always angels among us… And Mike Burch is one of them.

I'll begin my review by borrowing a line spoken by the character Ms. Shields, in the classic and beloved holiday movie "A Christmas story." As Ms.Shields clutched Ralphie's essay to her breast she shouted "poetry, sheer poetry!"
Now in all seriousness, Mr. Mike Burch's writing not only stimulates the intellect, but it also stirs the soul. Those of us capable of loving deeply, intensely, and without condition, know what it is to feel the exquisite joy, pain, and hopefully sheer happiness that TRULY loving someone can bring. I know that in the poetry world today, love poems are considered pass�, and often are ridiculed by the "experts" in the field. I not only find this ridiculous, but sad. It would be TRAGIC to think that some of the brightest minds in the poetry world today would rather flaunt their intellectual prowess by utilizing words from dead languages, or words, even the combination of words, so far a field of what a reader of poetry would find enjoyable or even decipherable. This would be funny if it weren't so disheartening.
Mike Burch does an EXCELLENT job of not only writing in a way that ANY intellectual capable of FEELING emotion would enjoy immensely, but also in a way that a layperson can enjoy as well. Poetry is meant to be a medium in which a reader is deeply touched, and it should elicit a strong response in that reader! Whether it be anger, fear, joy, love, lust, hate or sorrow, when a person reads a poem, they should get something out of it, other than what the hell did I just read?!
Mike Burch is not only a certified genius; a brilliant artist who uses language to paint beautiful landscapes of emotion with his writing, the way the great painters of old used oils and brushes to create masterpieces of art that are so treasured to this day. Just as these Old Master paintings can be admired and enjoyed by ANYONE, not just those who hold a fistful of art degrees, Mr. Burch writes so his words can speak to ALL, not just a select few.
Flowery language, love poems, and even poems that nearly all of us have written as lovesick teenagers should be valued, not because they use words that have to be looked up in the dictionary, but because of the poem's MEANING! Love is what is sorely lacking in this world, and since Mr. Burch authors poems that entertain, stimulate thought, or perhaps can even thaw the iciest of hearts, well I would certainly rather buy, read, and enjoy his magnificent poems and books, rather than waste my time (or money) reading ANY poem, or ANYTHING for that matter, that seeks to do nothing but make the reader feel inferior, patronized, and for some, downright stupid.
Sadly, it seems the medium of poetry has gotten so far away from what it was initially meant to be, which was a way to tell a rhythmic story, to entertain the reader, and to elicit or convey emotion. It now has unfortunately devolved into a field (and giving credit where credit is due) where extremely intelligent men and women would rather sit around patting themselves on the back for how superior they are, and congratulating each other for writing books and poems that have become so indecipherable, except to those in their limited circle and those who study dead languages, that It would make the world's most treasured, classical poets from the past weep to see what PRIDE (and Ego) has wrought.
Roses are red, violets are blue, if you can't read this, then I'm smarter than you... Doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?

I read some of the lines and I really thought that his poems were just average poetry.I went away with the feeling that he didn't put enough love into writing his poems.Some of his poems to his wife read more like a thank you instead of I love you. I just didn't see the true feelings in his poems.

About the Author
David G. Brown holds a U.S. Coast Guard Master's License, 100 Gross Tons, with Commercial Assistance Towing and Auxiliary Sail endorsements, and teaches professional-level U.S. Coast Guard licensing courses. He also is an instructor for a firm specializing in safety risk assessment, crew training, and license instruction, builds epoxy-composite boats, and restores vintage wooden boats. He was captain of a high-speed ferry serving the western Lake Erie islands and currently owns a harbor tour company on the Maumee River in Ohio. He has worked as a television news producer, and won an Emmy in 1979 for his coverage of the Agent Orange story. He writes monthly columns for "Boating World" and "Offshore" magazines and is a regular contributor to many other marine publications. This is his fifth book.

A classic response to premillennialism and defense of a traditional postmillennial view

David Brown (1803-1897) was a member of the Free Church of Scotland and a professor of apologetics, church history, and exegesis in the Free Church College in Aberdeen. Originally a premillennialist, he later became a postmillennialist. "Christ's Second Coming: Will it be Premillennial?" is his scholarly and detailed refutation of his earlier position.

The first part of the book presents the argument against premillennialism, one that consists of nine propositions designed to show the inadequacies of the doctrine. The second part is a defense of postmillennialism, in which Brown stresses the spiritual nature of the millennium against the idea of a physical earthly reign of Jesus. The third section of the book presents seven objections to postmillennialism and gives detailed answers to each of these.

Brown provides a historicist interpretation of the book of Revelation. His view of the millennium is more characteristic of an older form of postmillennialism, one that rejects the gradualism of many contemporary postmillennialists and argues that a somewhat distinct millennial age will take place during the latter stages of the time between Christ's first and second advent.

A Great Introduction

Niels book is written as an introduction to SEM and as such it is outstanding. My students learning about SEM for the first time find this to be a great conceptual and practical guide to exploring SEM in its different applications. The usual errors that occur in a first edition are corrected on the website for the text. The examples are clear and useful and the introduction to AMOS is outstanding. Data files are included so students can replicate the examples in the text. I strongly recommend this as a user friendly introduction to SEM.

User Friendly & Practical

As someone with limited SEM experience I found this book practical and user friendly. I had previously taken a class in SEM and latent variable modeling in graduate school using great texts like Loehlin's, but it wasn't until this book that things began to sink in on a how-to basis.

I didn't rate this selection as a 5 only, because I haven't finished the book, but I liked it enough so far that I wanted to review it.

Quality suffers in this book

The quality of this book is low. It has many errors making it hard to follow. I purchased the book based on the fact that the author was making the files associated with the analysis in the book available. Well the data files do not match what is in the book. Second, there is very little help in showing how to use SPSS or AMOS properly. Your better choice are the texts from Barbara Byrne.
